Abstract:

A four-element slot antenna array is analysed to be used as a reference for newly designed antennas. The proposed antennas have a symmetric and uniplanar geometry with both curved convex and concave (parabolic and hyperbolic) micros trips. The antennas are excited by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) and the basic structure consists of 4 slots etched on the conducting plane of the CPW and placed in the direction perpendicular to the transmission line. Numerical results are compared to those for the linear coplanar waveguide. Simulation have been carried out by a program called IE3D using the Method of Moments.
