Abstract:
We have demonstrated optical OFDM signal generation by an optical phase modulator and applied it in a 40GHz ROF symmetric system. The power penalty for the downlink data after transmission over 50km SMF is smaller than 0.5dB; while for the up-link data, the power penalty can be neglected.
