Abstract:

This paper introduces to hybrid computing systems in their current state and their foreseeable developments. An approach is presented which allows to design applications that efficiently utilize such parallel and highly heterogeneous systems. Thread level parallelism is stretched to apply concepts from hardware design at the algorithm level to software development.
