Abstract:

The rotated ω-k scheme is very efficient in terms of memory requirements and processing times in particular when applied to squinted very high resolution Spot SAR data. For high quality SAR images, motion and attitude measurement data need to be improved by autofocus. The Phase Gradient Autofocus (PGA) has been incorporated into the rotated omegak scheme. Processing steps are explained and processing results on very high resolution Spot SAR data gathered during test flights with the new EADS SmartRadar in July 2009 are presented.
