Prof. Wendong Xiao is currently a Professor with the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, P. R. China. His previous appointments include Scientist III with the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore (2004-2012), Research Fellow with the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2001-2004), Associate Professor with the Northeastern University, China (1999-2001), and Post-Doctorate Research Fellow with the POSCO Technical Research Laboratories, South Korea (1996-1999). He received his Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University, China in 1995. His current research focuses on wireless localization and tracking, energy harvesting based network resource management, wearable computing for healthcare, big data processing, wireless sensor networks and internet of things. He has published about 150 papers in Journals and conferences and has been participating in a number of research and industrial projects in the related areas. He has been actively participating in the organizations for more than 70 international conferences and reviews for many top international Journals.
Professor Yonghui Li is currently a professor and director of the wireless Engineering Laboratory of the University of Sydney. His current research interests mainly include wireless communication, channel coding, Internet of things, machine to machine (M2M) communication technology, etc. From 2010 to 2014, he participated in the a $500 million "smart grid, smart city" large-scale national demonstration project funded by the Australian federal government, and led the design of the communication network of the smart grid. This is the first smart grid demonstration project in the world.
He has published more than 300 articles in the field of communication, including more than 200 IEEE Journal Papers, which have been cited more than 12000 times, and many articles have been included as ISI highly cited articles. In 2008, she received the special fund of arc Queen Elizabeth II fellow from the Australian research foundation. In 2012, he was supported by the arc future fellow fund of the Australian research foundation. In 2020, he was listed by aminer as the most influential scholar in the field of ai2000 global Internet of things. In 2018, it was selected as IEEE fellow for its outstanding contribution in the communication field.
