This international standard specifies and describes the safety requirements for the design of solar trackers for photovoltaic systems or other solar energy applications, for the prevention of personal injury and property losses during the installation, commissioning, maintenance activities and long-term operation, in order to provide safe operation of the system. The safety issues concerned by this standard cover electrical, fire and mechanical hazards, and other hazards that will be encountered during the operation. This standard provides possible safety factors impacting the safety of solar trackers and its minimum design requirements.
