This application guide deals with the technical aspects such as terms, configurations, requirements and tests for modular battery systems. It is applicable to modular battery systems for charging and energy exchange between battery systems and / or an energy supply of connected devices that are equipped with at least one exchangeable battery system. For the purpose of this application guide, modular battery systems are those modules in parallel connection at a voltage of max. 60V DC during the energy supply or the charging process and in compliance with the requirements for protective low voltage. This application guide is intended to ensure that when building a modular battery system using battery system modules that conform to this rule and complying with their application instructions, the resulting modular battery system no longer has to be subjected to battery module-specific tests. Destructive tests in particular are then no longer required for the modular battery system.
