Abstract:
The application of genetic algorithm (GA) optimization to the design and analysis for planar broadband dipole of bow-tie type is presented. Primary attention is given to the analysis of the radiating contour profile of bow-tie antenna. Planar dipole antenna is proposed for UWB communications in the frequency range 3.1 – 10.6 GHz. A printed design of the proposed antenna is specified for return loss < -10 dB and gain > 2 dB over the whole frequency range.
