Characteristics of non-linear doped zinc oxide for electrical stress grading

Abstract:
An overview of the key factors and practical issues related to the use of doped zinc oxide as an electrical stress grading system. The overview considers the case of medium voltage electrical power cable accessories, and discusses some of the factors that must be considered in this application area. A suitable assessment criteria and relevant test data are included to support this discussion, and the main points for consideration are summarised.
