Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to assess the sub-aperture analysis for coherent scatterers (CSs) detection using polarimetric SAR data. A optimal non-normalized coherence can be achieved by tuning the polarization status using the full polarimetric SAR data. This parameter can greatly improves the contrast between the target and the surrounding clutter, since it preserves the intensity and phase information of the target. The polarimetric SAR data from the airborne EMISAR are applied to demonstrate the preliminary results of sub-aperture polarimetric analyses for the CSs. Finally, some conclusions drawn from the exprimental results are presented in this paper.
