The paper aims at applying the evidence maximization algorithm in order to extract the primitive texture feature and to de-speckle the detected image. Following the classical speckle analysis, the speckle noise can be modeled as a multiplicative noise. The improvement of the algorithm comes from the bayesian approach which incorporates the model parameter estimation and model selection in an automatic.
