Abstract:
This paper reviews some of the latest developments of RF-MEMS components, which are intended to be used in next-generation microwave communication and radar systems on aeronautic and space-borne platforms. These ongoing developments include electronically steerable phased array antennas, reference oscillators, multi-band communication systems and frequency selective surfaces. The specific requirements of each application are discussed and the related RF-MEMS based solution is presented.
