Abstract:
This paper discusses the extension of differential measurements to the W-band using a vector network analyzer (VNA) and frequency converters. The configuration described is the first to offer full multiport measurement in the W-band. The method of modal decomposition is carried out to implement the differential measurement on the VNA. An alternative method using an 85 GHz magic tee is also presented.
