              Abstract:
              This paper presents the analysis of waveguides with noncircular cross sections under the application of the discrete mode matching (DMM). The structure is represented by an equivalent circuit, which is used to set up the system equations to compute the propagation constant for the case under analysis. To demonstrate the application of the method, elliptical dielectric waveguides and conformal striplines are analyzed.
