Abstract:
A linear-non-linear digital control for multiphase DC-DC converters that improves the stability of the system, solves limit-cycle problem, reduces the recovery time and limits over- and under-shoots in regulated output voltage, is presented. A four-module interleaved buck converter is designed for a 12V-to-1V/120A voltage regulator to test the innovative linear-non-linear control technique and the simulation model in Matlab-Simulink/Active-HDL mixed environment is described. Simulation results are shown. The designed power supply system shows fast transient responses comparable to analog controls.
