Abstract:
The economic evaluation of RFID investments has not been sufficiently researched yet. This is particularly the case for the role of indirect costs and intangible benefits. Furthermore, the role of risk has been neglected in existing evaluation approaches. In this paper we present a holistic approach for the economic evaluation of RFID investments - the Extended Performance Analysis (EPA). A supplementing case study shows first empirical evidence for the potential of EPA.
