Abstract:
This paper is an update of recent experimental demonstration of a possible application of Resonant-Slot Coupled Cavity Chain as a Composite Right-handed-Left-handed waveguide structure (similar to CRLH line). It reports design strategies for both the CRLH guiding structure and for the backward-forward scanning leaky-wave antenna. In both applications it is possible to achieve the smooth transition between backward and forward mode and, at the same time, good matching to a standard 50 Ohm coaxial cable.
