Abstract:
This paper reports the design of a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed capacitive folded-slot antenna for the radio frequency identification (RFID) application at 2.4 GHz. The antenna is fabricated on a 30×30 mm substrate. Results from simulation and laboratory measurement are presented. The measured bandwidth is 1.7%. Radiation patterns are bidirectional. The compact and uniplanar antenna is suitable for use as RFID tags.
