Abstract:
This paper presents a novel broadband Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA). The antenna is fed by an aperture coupling slot together with a U shaped slot to excite more modes of radiation with similar characteristics. The antenna operates over a wide band of frequencies covering the future WLAN applications. It has an impedance bandwidth of 31%. The gain changes around 5 dB. The antenna has good radiation characteristics over the operating bandwidth.
