Abstract:
The propagation properties of body area network channel are investigated analytically. The real channel with an antenna located nearby human body is modelled by a lossy dielectric elliptical cylinder close to a polarized point source. The Fourier transform technology, the eigen-function expansion method, and the impedance boundary condition are used to determine the field distribution outside the human body.
