Abstract:
This paper presents the statistical analysis of the wideband propagation channel in two different propagation environments: large, but almost empty museum-like hall and the factory hall comprising a lot of metal obstacles. The presence of strong and small-delayed multipath components was of interest, since it is an important factor influencing the accuracy of TOA-based positioning systems. The evaluation of positioning accuracy in considered environments is also provided. Supposed values of the distance measurement errors were calculated by means of developed software taking into account a bandwidth limitations of real radio receivers.
