Abstract:
An ultra-wideband antenna and array are designed for positioning applications. The antennas are supposed to be placed against a wall; hence, pattern stability and low backradiation are among the design criteria. Simulations are compared to measurements at the level of impedance of a single antenna. Several compact representations of the patterns are considered. As for intermediate accuracy, a dipole based representation is found to require fewer parameters than sphericalwave decompositions.
