Abstract:
In this paper, a novel “green” inkjet-printed antenna for UHF Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags is presented. A slotted Z-shaped monopole configuration is selected and fabricated using inkjet-printing technology on a flexible, low-cost paper substrate utilizing a simple, fast, and environmentally friendly process. The design characteristics of the antenna are verified and the simulated results are compared with measurements showing good agreement.
