Abstract:
Radiation efficiency of two closely spaced metal sheets is studied by using the theory of characteristic modes (TCM). All modes of the structure in given frequency range are identified and their radiation efficiency is calculated. The overall radiation efficiency is computed as a combination of modal efficiencies. Radiation efficiency of the structure is studied for different distances between the sheets and is compared with results acquired by MoM software IE3D.
