Abstract:
The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) will be a next generation radio telescope that will be formed by millions of antennas and receivers. In a more precise way, planar aperture arrays are projected to be used to cover the low frequency band. This paper is focused on the design of a one square meter array. This sub-tile is formed by active bunny-ear antenna elements in an 8 by 8 dual-polarized configuration. The prototype works in the 300MHz to 1GHz band.
