Abstract:
The reflection characteristics of two parallel reinforced concrete slabs are investigated. The reinforced concrete is modeled by an array of metallic circular rods embedded inside a lossy dielectric material using a two dimensional method of moments and multilayer Green’s functions (MoM-MGFs). The reinforcement metallic rods inside the concrete slabs are assumed to be electrically thick. They are modeled by an array of thin wires subject to the “same surface area” rule of thumb. The results are compared with those of a single slab and the effect of multiple reflections between the slabs is discussed.
