Abstract:
The ray tracing and integral equation methods are used to optimize focal optics and focal plane array configuration of the single, dual and multi-mirror mm-wave telescopes. Simulation and optimization techniques are considered, results being presented for on-axis mm-wave reflector and RATAN-600 radio telescope. Near and far fields of RATAN-600 radio telescope in the multi-mirror mode are studied and optimized with the Method of Discrete Singularities (MDS), which uses the singular electric-field integral equation approach.
