Analysis of a Radial Probe Embedded in a Dielectric Cylindrical Substrate

This article presents a rigorous method of moments (MoM) analysis of a radial monopole that is connected to a perfectly conducting (PEC) cylindrical ground plane which is covered by a dielectric cylindrical substrate. The convergence of the dyadic Green’s function has been accelerated by employing the image extraction method. Input impedance and radiation pattern results are presented and compared with measured data.
