Abstract:
The bandwidth of almost any ultra wide band (UWB) system could easily cover the 5.15 - 5.825GHz frequency range which is eligibly assigned to WLAN applications according to IEEE 802.11a, HIPERLAN standards. So any unwanted intrusion from the local networks on the UWB system is expected. In this paper a new series of UWB antennas with notch frequency rejection specifications are proposed. This band notching will be introduced by using a crescent cut. The return loss, gain, and radiation pattern of the proposed antenna will then be calculated.
