Abstract:
We present a full-wave numerical study and design of the 2-D model of a perfectly electric conducting (PEC) parallel-plate waveguide lens antenna. Our consideration deals with the E-polarization. It is based on the coupled Singular Integral Equations (SIEs) discretized using a Nystrom-type numerical algorithm, which provides exponential convergence. This enables us to study symmetric and modified side-notched metal-plate lens antennas and make elementary optimization of the feed to achieve the best directivity.
