Abstract:
A complete framework to model linear and non-linear dispersion effects with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method in electromagnetics (EM) has been developed. In order to successfully simulate materials with any combination of the supported dispersion effects, the package encompasses tools to setup a suitable grid, compute a discretization and analyse and predict stability issues. The newly developed solver uses subpixel smoothing for all material combinations. Additionally, the method supports conformal subcell processing in FDTD.
