In photovoltaic power generators, because of high initial cost of systems, it is important to have ability to calculate the efficiency of inverters. Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel inverters are one of the most important and efficient inverters. In this paper an analysis about the on-state power dissipation in Cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverters is done and efficiency equations is extracted for inverters driven by Mosfets and Other p-n junction switches.
