Discrete-time dynamics in nonlinear circuits

Abstract:
Nonlinear circuits, and the wide variety of dynamical behaviour that they can exhibit, have been the focus of much research attention over recent decades. However, relatively little of this attention has been focused on circuits and systems that operate in, or are best modelled in, discrete time. This talk will present an overview of discrete-time dynamics in a number of representative and important nonlinear circuits, including sigmadelta modulators, phase-locked loops and MEMS.
