Er-doped fibers based on P2O5-Al2O3-SiO2 ternary glass have been studied. An increase of pump-tosignal conversion efficiency as compared to phosphorosilicate and aluminosilicate (1.5 mol.% Al2O3 or less) fibers is demonstrated.
