Abstract:
This document provides the framework information for the Alcatel-Lucent High Leverage Network(TM) - Converged Backbone transformation Solution – HLN-CBT, which describes network transformation architecture. Integration of the different technological forwarding paradigms like IP and G.709, leads to three areas of Integration: Management Plane, Data plane and Control plane. The data plane relates to all the aspects dealing with framing format, bit-rate, form-factor and hardware. The management plane deals with the network management system integration, and the Control plane deals with the integration of the control plane of the GMPLS based optical domain and the IP/MPLS packet switched domain.
