Abstract:
The paper introduces a model for evaluating technological options for delivering broadband services. Main focus is set on providing a tool for understanding dependencies between input parameters and the calculated network cost. The model allows calculating investment and operational cost separated by the phases of the network rollout. Coverage-driven strategy is compared with capacity-driven strategy for a mobile broadband network.
