Abstract:
In this paper a novel Doppler Centroid estimator is proposed aiming at solving the ambiguity of ERS2 Wave Mode (WM) data. This method exploits the Helpful ESA Yaw angle product (HEY), derived from ERS2 wind-scatterometer, combined with an attitude model to retrieve the correct Doppler ambiguity for WM data. This paper presents the approach developed and discusses the validation results obtained over a limited set of ERS2 data.
