Abstract:
In the given paper the possibility of radar signals polarization invariant parameters effective utilization is demonstrated. A main difference of this paper content from the well known results that were obtained by Profs. W. Boerner, E. Pottier, S. Cloude and other consists in an utilization of radar objects scattering matrix (SM) invariants, which can be measured in the real time and can be represented on the radar screen. The use of these invariants allows us to increase both small man-made radar objects detection probability against a surface and radar maps contrast. The results of the surveillance polarization radar prototype test are confirmed the main theoretical assumptions that were made in the paper. It is necessary to point out that methods’ proposed can be used at the SAR design.
