Abstract:
Using Radarsat-2 polarimetric data, the scattering mechanisms of winter wheat in booting and milk stage are studied based on polarimetric decomposition theory. The results show that there is a great differences on scattering mechanism. The three scattering mechanisms: surface, dihedral and volume scatterings change in opposite directions in two stages when wheat growth changes. The different structures of wheat in two stages are the main reason. The analyses indicate that with PolSAR (polarimetric SAR) data, the scattering mechanisms of target could be understood clearer, which would help to find the most sensitive parameter, and conducted with higher precision.
