Abstract:
In this paper, we focus on the portable two-dimensional (2D) Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar (GB-SAR) system developed in IECAS, which could be used for advanced microwave imaging modes and algorithms validation. To begin with, we will provide a brief background on GB-SAR. Then, the signal models which are used to verify different kinds of imaging modes are given and explained. Moreover, some special problems which are neglected in the conventional SAR imaging modes are discussed. After that, some preliminary experiments and system configuration are presented, and the obtained data is processed to further demonstrate the potential capability of the system.
