Abstract:
The resolution of a SAR image may be improved by coherently combining images acquired with known interferometric cross-track baselines. This technique has been applied to repeat-pass InSAR collections and has more recently been examined for multi-static SAR configurations. In this paper, the technique is applied to simultaneously acquiredmonostatic and bistatic SAR imagery collected with the Ingara airborne SAR and associated stationary ground-based receiver. In these collections, imagery was acquired in SAR spotlight-mode with a bistatic angle of 10.2deg. An examination of the response of corner reflectors placed in the scene illustrates the sensitivity of the approach to variations in the target monostatic and bistatic response that may occur between disparate viewing geometries.
