Abstract:
This paper presents principles and techniques to estimate physical parameters of natural environments using Multi-Baseline Polarimetric and Interferometric SAR (MB-POL-inSAR) data. The objective of this work is to provide robust techniques to estimate MB-POL-inSAR quantities as well as their relations to a simple coherence model. Rigorous MBPOL-inSAR coherence optimization procedures are introduced, and applied to the general estimation of the coherence line model parameters. It is demonstrated that the line parameters can be determined in an analytical and robust way by using the whole MB-POL-inSAR available information. The natural extension of this approach to MB case permits top easily estimate physical parameters.
