Abstract:
MOTOMAN, the robotic division of Yaskawa Electric Corporation with headquarters in Japan, has just released its latest generation of robots and controllers. Several new technological features, such as the DX100 controller, capable of the synchronous control of up to 8 robots plus base axis and positioners, as well as new manipulators for arc and spot welding, are now available for the automation market. The new industrial robots have been developed especially for the stringent requirements of sectors such as arc welding, spot welding and all handling applications, painting and gluing. In handling applications, Yaskawa is entering new fields, such as PPP (Picking, Packing, Placing), gluing and deburring. For this reason, MOTOMAN is providing several new types of special robots, such as the MOTOMAN-MPK2, a very fast high-speed picking robot. The state-of-the-art MOTOMAN welding robots enable shorter process times, resulting in increased efficiency, higher quality and energy savings. Thanks to their streamlined construction, these flexible and extremely fast manipulators only need a minimum of space and feature a greater number of degrees of freedom. Integrated production concepts for optimized process times and high production performance can be realized using MOTOMAN industrial robots.
