Abstract:
The introduction of intelligent capabilities in work protective equipment through ICT technologies is one of the priorities of several international safety and health organizations. The Industrial Safety Unit of Fundación LEIA is working in several research projects in this line. In this paper, the work and the first results of one of these projects, oriented to the application of RFID related technologies to enhance the capabilities of personal and collective protective equipment, are presented.
