Abstract:
The features of an Intelligent or Smart Home environment are critical to the Ambient Assisted Living topic. One of the important issues for proper operation is to provide critical health information and assistance services in the home. We have designed and implemented a prototype system, which can support many complex home telecare tasks. The system described here is able to track the patient and monitor actual body postures to assess the patient’s fitness and activity conditions. These properties are the main required parameters to diagnose the vital signs of the subject. In this paper, we introduce our laboratory tested and working solution, of the prototype system.
