Abstract:
Standard clock recovery schemes with timing phase estimation before or after the 2x2 MIMO FIR filter in digital coherent receivers are analyzed. In particular, the influence of first-order PMD combined with certain SOPs to the timing estimation is investigated. No scheme has been identified to prove robust timing estimation for all channel conditions.
