Abstract:
The explosion of mobile data traffic and also the further forecasted growth of mobile data are demanding new approaches to radio coverage. In-building and as well Outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) are commercially available solutions that provide an efficient management of resources and requirements. The application of multiple frequencies as well as multiple protocols and services (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, etc) need to be taken care of as well as the application of MIMO. DAS and especially Active DAS solutions are providing this for in-building and outdoor applications.
