Abstract:
Recently, a novel technique for refocussing non-cooperative targets in SAR images has been proposed that makes use of data inversion and ISAR processing. Such a technique was thought to operate mainly with pulsed radar and was tested on Cosmo Skymed Spotlight SAR data, which was processed by using the Ω-k algorithm. In this paper, the same technique is applied to non-cooperative moving maritime targets imaged with a FMCW SAR system by using a backprojection technique. Finally, considerations are made that justify the suitability of the proposed technique for FMCW SAR data.
