Abstract:
Recently, a 3-D SAR imaging technique based on Compressive Sampling (CS) has been introduced. It allows a drastic reduction og the number of acquisitions required for obtaining a three dimensional image reconstruction and attains an increased resolution in the elevation direction. It relies in the sparsity assumption of the reflectivity profile in the elevation direction, which is always satisfied in practical cases. An important issue to be faced is the reconstruction reliability, or in other words the determination of the maximum elevation resolution which can be achieved with an assigned set of acquisitions, and of possible requirements on the baselines spatial distribution. In this paper, the results obtained on COSMO-Skymed real data are presented.
