Abstract:
The article deals with the technology of hardware data distortion correction for the Almaz-l SAR and the procedure of SAR radiometric calibration based on the delay line application in microwave channel. Using these techniques, the samples of the sea surface radar images with specific disturbances: wind wave at the speed of driven wind up to 10-15 m/sec and irregular wind gusts were synthesized. Average values of specific radar cross sections for the sea and anomalies are calculated. Recommendations how to use delayed test-signals for calibration of advanced SAR are provided.
